Victor Njoroge's Story

I didn't even give myself the chance to go out into the wild looking for jobs without a support team behind me. When I had rumblings of an upcoming layoff at ServiceNow, I joined the Intentional Product Manager program. By the time the layoff actually occurred, I was already well into defining what my next role would look like.

The first and most important aha moment was mindset. Of all the modules in the program, it's the one I watched and rewatched the most β€” probably 30 to 40 times. The mindset module gave me the tools to approach practice sessions, plan peer connections, set up my interview attack plan, and iterate until I locked in my dream role.

My story of landing at Clari happened during the Christmas break period when most candidates assume companies aren't active. But I had systems in place. Before they even asked for a case study, I submitted one proactively β€” I had researched the product, gathered customer feedback, created a problem set with voice-of-customer data, built solutions in Figma, and presented it all.

Show up open, willing, ready to do the work, and most importantly β€” buy into the process. The coaching sessions are a playground to stretch and fail safely, and the network of PMs gives you confidence to handle whatever comes your way.
